Hawkins Transport QLD are seeking a motivated Forklift Operator / Freight Handler to join their Brisbane Depot, based in Acacia Ridge, for general and refrigerated freight service to regional and remote communities.The role:Receive from the Depot Supervisor daily tasks, load plans and general duties and perform them as instructed and within company policyFlexible to work on a RosterPrevious experience in a similar roleSafety first approach and demonstrate WHS practices and procedures consistentlyLoading and unload general freight of various sizes in a safe and compliant mannerBe able to handle freight items manually and safely as requiredAccurately sort and load freight into designated areas and onto delivery vehicles with a high degree of accuracyEnsure that all consignments have con notes prepared and are stickered for delivery destinationEnsure the safe and responsible handling and loading of consignments to eliminate damage before and during transit.Ensure loads are completed within the scheduled time frame for truck departure.Maintain Depot grounds and protected working environment.Collection and delivery of customer freightAbout you:The successful candidate for the role will ideally have the following key skills and qualities:Minimum Open C Class Licence - HC Desirable.
