Salary Package starting from $115,******
About the role
Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing automotive electrical systems across the City's fleet, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Duties
Key responsibilities include:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain automotive electrical and electronic systems across fleet vehicles, plant, and equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and software.
Install and maintain electrical accessories and safety systems (e.g. radios, cameras, lighting, telematics).
Support preventative maintenance programs and ensure compliance with WHS, Australian Standards, and manufacturer requirements.
Respond to breakdowns, complete emergency repairs, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Provide technical advice, support apprentices as required, and perform other duties consistent with the role.
Who we are Looking for:
To be considered for this position, you will need:
Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (AUR*****) or equivalent trade qualification, or relevant experience
Demonstrated experience in automotive electrical diagnostics and repairs across a range of vehicles and plant
Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
Competent in the use of diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment
Strong problem‐solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team
Current satisfactory National Police Clearance
Current WA "C" Class Driver's Licence
