About ASGASG Civil & Industrial is a growing infrastructure services company specialising in water, sewer, drainage, civil maintenance, hydro excavation, and capital works projects across Victoria and Australia.With over 60 employees across field and office operations and an expanding offshore support team, ASG is entering its next phase of growth and is seeking an experienced Company Accountant with strong HR and compliance capabilities to support our leadership team.About the RoleReporting directly to the Commercial Manager, this is a hands‐on role responsible for the end-to-end finance function, HR administration and compliance management.This role suits a commercially minded accountant who enjoys working across multiple disciplines, improving systems and processes, and partnering with operational leaders to drive business performance.Company AccountantASG Civil & IndustrialLocation: Laverton North, Melbourne VICFull-Time PositionKey ResponsibilitiesFinance & AccountingManage month-end and year-end close processesPrepare accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliationsMaintain general ledger integrity and financial controlsPrepare monthly management accounts and board reportsCash flow forecasting and working capital managementAssist Operations teams with budgeting and financial planningLiaise with external accountants, auditors, banks and advisersSupport project accounting and WIP reportingHuman ResourcesEnsure compliance with Awards,



Enterprise Agreements and Fair Work requirementsManage onboarding and offboarding processesCoordinate employment contracts and personnel recordsSupport recruitment activities and workforce planningManage performance review administrationCompliance & RiskManage WorkCover administration and claimsCoordinate vehicle, plant and insurance registersMaintain contractor and employee compliance recordsManage licences, certifications and training complianceSupport ISO ****, ISO ***** and ISO ***** systemsAssist with internal and external auditsAbout YouYou will be a proactive qualified who enjoys taking ownership and working closely with senior leadership.EssentialBachelor Degree in Accounting, Commerce or FinanceCPA or CA qualified (or nearing completion)Minimum 5 years Australian accounting experienceStrong understanding of Australian payroll, GST, PAYG and compliance requirementsExperience managing month-end reporting and reconciliationsStrong Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with MYOB Advanced, Xero or similar ERP systemsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsHighly DesirableExperience in construction, civil, maintenance or contracting industriesHR administration and payroll management experienceWorkCover and compliance management experienceExperience working with offshore teamsExposure to project accounting and job costingWhat We OfferAttractive salary package based on experienceSenior leadership role with direct access to DirectorsOpportunity to influence business systems and processesCareer growth within a rapidly expanding organisationSupportive and collaborative cultureOn-site parking
