An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the right candidate based on experience and qualifications.About the RoleAs the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in managing the company's financial operations, providing strategic financial guidance, and ensuring the financial health of the business.
You will work closely with senior management to support business growth, improve financial performance, and maintain strong financial controls.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day financial management of the business.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Manage company cash flow, forecasting,



and working capital.Develop and monitor project budgets and financial performance.Prepare management reports and provide financial analysis to support decision-making.Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards, taxation, and statutory requirements.Manage payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.Maintain accurate financial records and implement effective financial controls.Liaise with external accountants, auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and business efficiency.Support the leadership team with strategic financial planning and business growth initiatives.Essential RequirementsProven experience as a Financial Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar leadership finance role.Previous experience within the construction industry is highly desirable.Strong working knowledge and practical experience using MYOB accounting software.Demonstrated experience in cash flow management, forecasting, and financial planning.Excellent understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the business.High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.CPA or CA qualification (or working towards one) will be highly regarded.What We OfferCompetitive salary package based on experience and qualifications.Immediate start available.A supportive, professional, and friendly working environment.Opportunity to work with an established and growing construction company.Long-term career development and progression opportunities.A collaborative team culture where your contribution is recognised and valued.Modern office facilities and the opportunity to make a real impact on the business.
