Tiger Consulting Global () is seeking an Assistant Manager, External Auditor to join our growing audit practice in Sydney.
This is a full-time permanent position based in Sydney NSW ****, offering an exciting chance to progress your audit career within a dynamic and collaborative consulting environment.
As Assistant Manager, you will take on increased responsibility for audit engagements, supervising junior staff and a small team, and delivering high-quality statutory financial statements audit services to our diverse client base, mainly for multinational corporations' subsidiaries in Australia.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our audit operations whilst developing your technical expertise and leadership capabilities.Key responsibilitiesPlan, supervise and execute external financial statement audit assignments for clients across various industries and organisational sizesConduct audit fieldwork including testing of controls, substantive procedures, and analytical review to obtain sufficient audit evidenceSupervise, mentor and coach junior audit staff and trainees, providing constructive feedback and guidance on audit methodology and technical mattersReview and quality-check audit workpapers prepared by junior team members to ensure compliance with audit standards and firm policiesCommunicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders in a clear and professional mannerDevelop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring service delivery exceeds expectationsPrepare audit reports, management letters and other deliverables in accordance with Australian Auditing Standards and firm requirementsSupport the development of audit programmes and procedures tailored to specific client circumstancesMaintain compliance with professional and ethical standards,



including continuing professional development requirementsContribute to the continuous improvement of audit processes and methodologies within the firmWhat we're looking forBachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or a related disciplineMinimum 6 years of experience in external audit or a related accounting disciplineMember or eligible to become a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), or the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CICPA)Strong technical knowledge of Australian Auditing Standards and audit methodologyDemonstrated experience conducting audit fieldwork including control testing and substantive proceduresProven ability to supervise and mentor junior staff with patience and professionalismExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detailSuperior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and internal teamsProficiency in accounting software and audit tools, including experience with Microsoft Office and audit management systems, such as CaseWare Agile and CaseWare Financials.Strong time management and project coordination capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneouslyCommitment to professional development and keeping abreast of changes in auditing standards and best practicesPreferred: experience with larger private companies, or exposure to cross-border businessesWhat we offerAt Tiger Consulting Global, we invest in our people and are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive workplace.
