As a member of the Leadership team at Holy Spirit Croydon, you will be managing the smooth operation of the home's commercial kitchen and dining service, enabling our residents to enjoy a variety of fresh, nutritious meals on a daily basis.
The dining experience for our residents is really important, meals needs to be creatively presented and tasty.
About the Role: Preparing fresh and nutritious meals for residents in line with their dietary needs Managing all resources within the kitchen including equipment and food supplies within your approved budget Maintaining a hygienically clean kitchen that is fully compliant with the Aged Care quality standards To be successful in this role you'll need A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly Strong communication skills and a positive attitude Experience leading a team Certificate IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) Basic Food safety Practices Certificate Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene Understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety An understanding of modified diets Ability to work independently and part of a multi-disciplinary team Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain What we can offer you Competitive hourly pay rate Fitness Passport gym benefit Paid parental leave Long service leave after 5 years Additional week of leave for Enterprise Agreement shift workers 40+Locations across NSW and QLD if you decide to move A values based organisation that welcomes applicants from all faiths and backgrounds We know you have many choices of employer - choose Catholic Healthcare where you can make a positive impact and be well rewarded.
