Guided by our values of Compassion, Justice, Integrity and Excellence, we're committed to building a better and fairer healthcare system for all Australians.The OpportunityWe're looking for experienced Accounts Payable Officers to join our high-performing Shared Services Finance team.We currently have two full-time fixed-term opportunities available:1 x 4-month full-time fixed-term contract1 x 12-month full-time fixed-term contractBoth roles offer genuine potential to transition into permanent employment, subject to business requirements and individual performance.Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you'll join a collaborative and customer-focused Shared Services team responsible for delivering end-to-end accounts payable services across St Vincent's Health Australia and affiliated entities throughout New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable skilled who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys solving problems, building strong stakeholder relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.
You'll play an integral role in ensuring accurate and timely supplier payments while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and finance transformation projects that enhance efficiency across one of Australia's largest not-for-profit healthcare organisations.The role is based at our Bowen Hills Head Office (Brisbane) and offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining office-based and work-from-home flexibility.Key responsibilities of the roleProcessing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficientlyManaging end-to-end accounts payable activities including reconciliations, creditor management and payment runsInvestigating and resolving invoice, payment and three-way matching discrepanciesBuilding strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliersSupporting finance transformation, automation and continuous improvement initiativesMaintaining accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with internal controls and policiesDelivering exceptional customer service across the organisationThings that work for usAt least 4-5 years' experience in Accounts Payable within a medium to large organisationProven experience in a high-volume transactional finance environmentStrong end-to-end Accounts Payable knowledge including invoice processing, reconciliations and payment runsExperience using OCR invoice processing technology and ERP finance systemsExperience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (or similar ERP systems)
