and other dental requisites to Dental PractitionersPreparing dental materials and processing x-raysUsing suction devices and water spraysPerforming routine maintenance on equipmentSterilising and preventing cross infection of equipmentMay advised patients on dental health education and post-operative care and proceduresMay act as a receptionist for Dental PractitionersMay perform billing and other clerical tasksHelp to prepare and update workplace policies and proceduresComply with and participate in all required internal and external trainingProvide training and mentoring to incoming dental assistants to the practiceLiaise with dental laboratories and supply companies to ensure a well-stocked and managed practiceRequirements:Dental Assistant Certificate III or IV or equivalent.This can include Bachelor of Dental Surgery (overseas qualified)3+ years of experience as a dental assistantPreferred: multilingual to assist in managing the diverse population of SydneySalary: AUD $*****-$***** per annum
