Food Technologist (Quality Systems Specialist)For our client, a fast-growing Australian FMCG food manufacturer producing high-quality chilled products for major retailers, we are currently looking for a Food Technologist (Quality Systems Specialist) to join the team on permanent basis.Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role ensures quality systems are effective, audit-ready, and continuously improving.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and improve the Quality Management System (QMS), including controlled changes to processes, specifications, and documentationLead internal audits and GMP inspections, and manage the CAPA system to ensure robust root cause analysis and timely close-outSupport external audits, including preparation, hosting, and responsesManage the Approved Supplier Program, ensuring suppliers are assessed,
approved, and monitoredInvestigate and close out customer complaints, identifying trends and preventing recurrencePartner with operations to embed practical procedures and improve compliance on the floorAbout YouFood Science/Food Technology degreeYou'll have strong hands-on experience with QMS, GMP and CAPA processes, ideally gained over several years in a regulated manufacturing environment.Strong stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement mindsetExperience with systems such as Fishbowl or SafetyCulture highly regardedFull Australian working rights
