Solway Electrical is seeking a dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team on a full-time basis in Brisbane, QLD.
This is an excellent opportunity to begin or continue your career in the electrical trades under the guidance of experienced professionals.
As an Apprentice Electrician, you will work alongside qualified electricians, gaining practical hands‐on experience whilst completing your formal qualifications.
This role offers the chance to develop a comprehensive skill set in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting across residential Solar and Battery installations and residential projects.What you'll be doingAssisting qualified electricians with the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systemSolar and Battery InstallationsLearning to read and interpret electrical plans, blueprints and technical drawingsPreparing work sites and ensuring all tools and materials are organised and readily availableInstalling electrical wiring, conduits, fittings and associated equipment according to safety standards and specificationsPerforming basic testing and fault-finding on electrical circuits and systems under supervisionMaintaining a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulationsKeeping accurate records of work completed and materials usedAttending and completing your electrical apprenticeship training and qualificationsAssisting with general maintenance tasks and supporting the wider team on various projectsWhat we're looking forA strong work ethic, reliability and a commitment to completing your apprenticeshipGood attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions carefullyBasic numeracy and literacy skills,
