Fire Safety Assessor / AFSS Technical SupportFire Safety Assessor / AFSS Technical Support – Heatherbrae NSWAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced Fire Safety Assessor / AFSS Technical Support professional to join a Commercial Services Division based in Heatherbrae, NSW.This is a full-time, permanent salaried position that includes a fully maintained company vehicle.
The role is suited to a suitably qualified and accredited fire safety professional with strong experience across AFSS compliance, fire safety assessments, audits and technical reporting.You will be responsible for conducting fire safety assessments and compliance audits across client properties, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards and regulations, including AS****:**** and Environmental Planning and Assessment requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct Annual Fire Safety Statement assessments and compliance auditsAssess fire safety measures and identify non-compliant itemsLiaise with clients, builders, building managers and internal stakeholdersPrepare detailed reports and compliance documentationReview fire engineering reports and recommend remedial actionsProvide technical guidance and support regarding fire safety compliance requirementsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry regulations, standards and best practiceSupport clients with practical, compliant and professional fire safety adviceRequired Accreditations and Technical CompetenciesThe successful candidate should have accreditation,
competency and demonstrated experience in assessing and certifying a range of essential fire safety measures, including:Automatic Fire Detection and Alarm Systems, Level 2 desirableSmoke and Heat Alarms / DetectorsFire Hydrant SystemsFire Hose Reel SystemsFire and Smoke DoorsFire Stopping Seals and Access PanelsEmergency and Exit Lighting SystemsEmergency Planning and Evacuation MeasuresAutomatic Fire Suppression Systems, Level 2 desirableFire Control RoomsMechanical Air Handling SystemsOther essential fire safety measures relevant to AFSS compliance requirementsAbout YouTo be successful, you will ideally have:Strong experience in fire safety assessment, AFSS compliance or fire protection consultingRelevant practitioner accreditations for NSW fire safety measuresSound knowledge of AS****:**** and EP&A; compliance requirementsExperience preparing technical reports and compliance documentationAbility to identify defects, non-compliances and required remedial actionsStrong communication skills when dealing with clients, builders and building managersHigh attention to detail and a professional approach to complianceAbility to work independently and manage multiple client sites and reporting requirementsWhat's on OfferFull-time, permanent salaried roleBased in Heatherbrae, NSWFully maintained company vehicleOpportunity to join a growing fire protection businessCommercial services and compliance-focused roleAutonomous position with solid technical responsibilityLong-term opportunity for an experienced fire safety professional
