and comply with risk management principles including WH&SProgram; implementation that balances dignity of risk v's duty of care requirements for clients and the organisationResponsible for ensuring direct reports understand responsibilities and delegationsOutcomes achieved demonstrate informed choice by clients and this is documented throughout the planning processRegular monthly support and supervision is undertaken, and demonstrated understanding of roles is apparent enabling greater client choice and controlSeeking regular feedback from clients and staff, particularly their views on current service deliveryUndertaking various individual assessments that value add to services providedObtaining feedback from clients during the review periods of the Service Plans and feedback plans are developed with targets and timeframes set, progress against plans is regularly reviewed and adjustments made following these reviewsInvolvement in and contribution to the team's results and effectiveness by prioritising work and informing team membersStaff Management of support workers by undertaking regular support and supervision and appraisal including performance management when requiredTo be successful in this role you will need:Minimum 5 years' experience working in disability industry; NDIS or Supported HousingMinimum of 3 years' experience in Operational Management of an Individual SupportsProgram or similarUnderstanding and implementation of person centred/directed planning and positive behaviour supportExperience in the development and delivery of services for people with an intellectual and developmental disability as well including from a CALD backgroundKnowledge and understanding of disability sector funding and new innovation funding and a well-developed knowledge of the NDIS, Restrictive Practices and reportable incidents schemeAbility to manage client budgets within allocated funds and experience in billingWorking relationships with disability and allied health agencies on the Central CoastAbilityto work autonomously and demonstrated ability to make complex judgments, prioritise tasks and take initiativeGood understanding of technology, using client management systems and Microsoft products.Exceptional attention to detail, highly organised with time management skills and the ability to multitask at timesHighly developed and proven customer service skills and ability to think outside the box including experience in following correct procedures when dealing with challenging situations and vulnerable peopleStrong communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to present high level reports; the ability to adapt communication style to meet people's needsDemonstrated capacity to manage critical issues and deal with challenging situationsAn excellent understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding framework and NDIS Practice StandardsStrong team work ethic, demonstrated commitment to social justice principles and access and equityA current First Aid CertificateA current NSW Working with Children Check, NDIS Workers Screen Check and NSW Driver's licence.Apassion toembraceandapplyCoastlink'svaluesandethics tofosteracultureofpositivesupport, client empowerment, honesty, accountability, inclusion, respect and empathy.Paidongoingtraining andprofessionaldevelopment;
