Leadership Opportunity in the Safety & Industrial Supply Sector in Wagga:Southland Supply Group is a family-owned safety & industrial supply company.
They supply personal protective equipment (PPE), workwear and site safety products to trade and retail customers and operate multiple branches and warehouses nationally.About The RoleSouthland currently have a leadership opportunity available for a proactive, hands‐on and experienced Branch Manager to lead the Wagga branch operations.The Branch Manager will be responsible for overseeing the branch operations in a trade counter and warehousing setting, managing a cross-functional team, managing the operational and sales budget, engaging directly with customers and recommending/implementing process improvements.The Position Involves:Overseeing the daily operations of the Southland Wagga branch, including sales support, warehouse operations, inventory management and reporting.Managing the internal team of approximately 8-10 staff including trade counter staff, warehouse staff, customer service and account managers.Providing hands‐on support across the branch, whether it be engaging directly with customers or stepping in to support the warehouse team.Participating in the recruitment, onboarding, performance management, coaching and development of branch staff.Coordinating weekly toolbox and monthly branch meetings.Overseeing customer order fulfilment to ensure service levels, order accuracy,



and timely despatch are maintained.Coordinating with the OHS Manager for site compliance and reporting.Investigating operational issues, customer escalations, and service failures.Promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement across the branch.Skills and Experience:Demonstrated leadership and management expertise, ideally in the industrial supply sector (specialising in PPE, Signage, Clothing, worksite setup) or similar trade based retail experience.Experience leading a similar sized cross functional team (8-10 staff) in a retail trade based environment.Strategic thinking with solid business acumen and capability to develop and execute growth strategies.Experience managing an operational budget and sales budget.Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on results and efficiency.Exceptional organisational and time management skills.Why Join The Southland Team?
