About the Role:
Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you'll act as a trusted advisor to managers and team leaders, providing practical HR guidance across a broad range of people-related matters.
This is a true generalist role encompassing employee relations, performance management, recruitment support, learning and development, and health and safety initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees
Coaching leaders on performance management and employee development
Supporting disciplinary, conduct and performance processes
Assisting with HR policy implementation and continuous improvement initiatives
Coordinating employee onboarding, inductions and training programmes
Processing fortnightly payroll and responding to payroll queries
Supporting health, safety and wellbeing initiatives
Maintaining accurate HR records and reporting
About You:
2+ years' experience in an HR Advisor or similar HR generalist position
A qualification in Human Resources, Business, Law or a related discipline
Sound knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation
Experience managing employee relations matters
Payroll administration experience
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
A collaborative and solutions-focused approach
Experience supporting operational, blue-collar or field-based workforces will be highly regarded.
