We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Chef to join our friendly team at The Ginger Factory in Yandina.
This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who takes pride in quality food, works well under pressure, and enjoys being part of a busy cafe workplace.Chef – The Ginger FactoryWhat We're Looking For- Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a cafe, restaurant, or similar fast-paced kitchen environment- A team player with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and pride in delivering consistent, high-quality meals- Looking for 35 hours per week and available to start immediately or by negotiation- Highly organised, reliable, and able to maintain quality and presentation during busy service periods- Confident preparing and cooking menu items, following food safety standards, and keeping the kitchen clean and well organised- Available on a 7‐day rotational roster,



including weekdays and weekends, with no night shifts- Gelato churning experience, or willingness to undertake onsite training as a churner- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery preferred, but not essential.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook cafe menu items to a high standardSupport smooth daily kitchen operations during busy service periodsMaintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standardsAssist with stock rotation, ordering input, and minimising wasteWork collaboratively with the front-of-house and kitchen teamWhy Join Us?
