Invoicing & Cost Controller | Sydney NSW or Melbourne VICAs an Invoicing and Cost Controller within our Air & Ocean team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of operational accounting activities that underpin our financial performance.Based at either our Sydney or Truganina sites, you'll work closely with Operations and Finance teams to ensure job files are accurately invoiced, closed and compliant with CEVA policies.
You'll act as a key point of control across invoicing, accruals, credit notes and WIP, supporting reliable month-end reporting and driving continuous improvement across operational processes.This role suits someone detail-driven, commercially aware and confident working at the intersection of operations and finance.WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Specifically, you will:Ensure all operational job files are accurately invoiced and closed in a timely mannerOversee follow-up and resolution of non-invoiced or incomplete job filesReview profit and loss variances, ensuring explanations meet country thresholdsMonitor and drive closure of job files in TMS systems in line with global KPIsManage AP invoices on hold and unallocated AP, identifying root causes and actionsOversee accrual deletions and ensure compliance with CEVA financial controlsMaintain accurate job file registration and conduct regular data health checksDrive adherence to Operations Control SOPs across Air & Ocean teamsMonitor auto-rating processes to improve billing and accrual accuracyOversee credit note issuance, analysis and first-level approvalsMonitor WIP ageing and support timely resolution of outstanding items.WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You'll bring experience from freight forwarding or a related operational setting, with strong attention to detail and a clear understanding of how operational accuracy impacts financial outcomes.




You'll also have:Experience with operational accounting or invoicing processesStrong analytical skills and the ability to investigate and resolve discrepanciesHigh attention to detail and accuracy in data and systemsConfidence working with freight platforms such as OFS, CargoWise or similarClear communication skills and the ability to work across Operations and FinanceA proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.WHAT DO WE HAVE TO OFFER?
