Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytically minded Data Analyst to join our team and play a key role in transforming raw data into meaningful business insights.
In this position, you will gather, process, and interpret data to support strategic decision-making across the organisation.
The ideal candidate is highly proficient with data tools and visualisation techniques, communicates findings clearly, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and maintain secure processes for collecting, storing, processing, and validating data to ensure integrity across all stages of the data lifecycle
Evaluate the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data from multiple sources, identifying and resolving discrepancies as required
Analyse and interpret complex datasets to produce relevant statistics, identify trends and patterns, and provide data-driven answers to business queries
Apply data analytics and visualisation techniques to uncover actionable insights that support operational and strategic goals
Develop transparent, compelling reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
Write custom scripts and code in languages such as Python, R, or SQL to automate analytical tasks and streamline data workflows
Implement and adhere to data governance frameworks,



ensuring all data usage is ethical, compliant, and aligned with organisational policies
Monitor data pipelines and reporting systems, proactively identifying and resolving issues that may affect data quality or availability
Support the continuous improvement of data collection methodologies, reporting tools, and analytical processes across the business
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Demonstrated experience in a data analyst or similar role, with a strong portfolio of analytical work
Proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
Strong working knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets
Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and automation
Solid understanding of statistical methods, data modelling, and analytical best practices
Ability to interpret and communicate complex data findings clearly to diverse audiences
Familiarity with data governance principles, data quality standards, and privacy legislation including the Australian Privacy Act
Strong attention to detail,



problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative approach to working across teams
Preferred Qualifications
Postgraduate qualification or certifications in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related discipline (e.g. Google Data Analytics Certificate, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate)
Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
Exposure to machine learning concepts or predictive modelling techniques
Experience in an Agile or cross-functional project environment
Industry Experience
Industry experience in sectors such as finance, healthcare, retail, or government
