We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a growing insurance and building services team, specialising in major loss, remediation, and complex residential/commercial insurance projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing tender submissions, and supporting projects from initial assessment through to completion.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed estimates for major insurance projectsReview scopes of works, reports, drawings, and engineering documentationComplete accurate take-offs and costings across complex building projectsLiaise with clients, assessors, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliersAssist with tender submissions and variationsEnsure estimates align with project requirements, budgets, and timelinesProvide technical advice and support to project teamsMaintain solid industry relationships with insurers, loss adjusters,



and stakeholdersAbout You4 + Years experience as an EstimatorStrong understanding of residential and commercial building processesExperience estimating large-scale insurance claims and reinstatement projectsStrong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and subcontractor pricingAbility to interpret scopes, drawings, and technical reportsExcellent attention to detail and commercial awarenessStrong communication and negotiation skillsExperience with estimating software such as CostX, Cubit, Buildsoft, Bluebeam, or similarTrade background (Carpentry preferred but not essential)Experience working with insurance builders, loss adjusters, or major insurersWhat's On OfferCompetitive salary packageStable pipeline of major insurance projectsCareer progression opportunitiesSupportive team environmentOpportunity to work on complex and high-value projects
