It is a 24-month contract, at minimum, consisting of 12 months affiliation with Monash University and a following 12-month consolidation of skills and commitment to Cabrini.
The aim of the program is to provide clinicians with the knowledge and skills for advanced clinical practice within Perioperative Nursing.
Utilising state of the art facilities and highly skilled educators within our modern Theatre department, our Perioperative Nurses will build on their skills to deliver perioperative care.
Nurses work as part of a multidisciplinary team using the latest techniques in surgical intervention.
The course prepares Nurses to apply perioperative principles to patients with complex, chronic and acute medical conditions requiring surgical interventions.
Cabrini Theatre is a vibrant environment with 26 operating theatres, including a hybrid lab, and endoscopy suites spread across two floors in a spacious and modern facility.

the Registered Nurses will have gained sufficient credits for award of a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Nursing (Perioperative Nursing).
