Role : Technical Business Analyst - IAMExperience : 6 + YearsLocation : Sydney
Essential Criteria
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Discovery and AnalysisLead end-to-end process discovery for Local Administrator Access requests, approvals, fulfilment, reviews, and revocation activities.
Analyse existing request volumes, approval patterns, user behaviours, and operational pain points.
Identify recurring root causes driving Local Administrator Access demand.
Review historical approval data and validate ongoing business need.
Assess all incoming Local Admin requests and existing approved admins.
Validate whether admin is genuinely required or whether app packaging, configuration, or another managed option can solve the need.
User Personas and Business RequirementsDefine user personas, endpoint environments, and business use cases that drive administrative access requests.
Assess whether users would be better served through alternative managed environments or engineering device solutions.
Elicit, document, and prioritise business, operational, risk, and technical requirements.
Develop detailed user journeys and future-state process requirements.
Future-State Process DesignDesign future-state operating models and governance frameworks.
Define approval pathways, exception handling processes, review cycles, and attestation requirements.
Develop decision trees, approval matrices, and access eligibility models.
Identify opportunities to reduce dependency on Local Administrator Access.
Create a justification matrix for Local Admin access.
Design a scalable request process that captures justification upfront and enables automated validation with minimal manual review.
Stakeholder EngagementFacilitate workshops across Cyber Security, EUX, Identity and Engineering teams.
Align stakeholders on future-state process design and implementation priorities.
Produce business cases and recommendations that support remediation objectives.
Engage with previously approved Local Administrator Access users to identify underlying application packaging, configuration, or endpoint management issues contributing to access demand.
Lead regular Local Administrator Access remediation status updates across Cyber Security, EUX, Identity, Engineering, and other relevant stakeholder groups.
Governance and ReportingEstablish reporting and performance measures.
Maintain process documentation, requirements artefacts, decision guides, and stakeholder communications.
Track remediation progress and business outcomes.Training / Misuse - Link access requests to Cyber responsible-use training.
Define misuse escalation and consequence management pathways in line with HR, Cyber, and business policies.
