With an integrated team of development professionals, designers, consultants, and construction specialists, they are recognised for delivering projects that enhance communities and create lasting value.This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious planning or development professional seeking hands‐on exposure across the full development lifecycle while working alongside experienced industry leaders.In the role as Junior Planner / Assistant Development Manager, you will be:Reporting directly to the Head of Planning, you will play a key role in supporting the planning and development functions across a diverse portfolio of projects.
You will gain exposure to development approvals, stakeholder engagement, consultant coordination, feasibility input, and project delivery, providing an excellent platform for long‐term career growth within the property development industry.In the role as Junior Planner / Assistant Development Manager, here are your key responsibilities:Prepare and coordinate Concept Development Applications and Detailed Development ApplicationsAssist with the preparation and submission of Complying Development Certificate (CDC) applicationsNavigate planning and approval pathways across various local government areasReview planning controls, policies,



and legislation to provide strategic planning adviceLiaise with local councils, government agencies, planners, and assessment officersRespond to requests for additional information and address stakeholder concerns throughout the approval processPrepare Statements of Environmental Effects (SEE) and planning reportsAssist with modification applications and assess planning conditions against project objectivesAnalyse development opportunities, site constraints, and planning risksCoordinate consultants, architectural documentation, and supporting reportsParticipate in pre‐lodgement meetings with councils and authoritiesManage planning portal submissions and approval documentationAssist with post‐approval compliance and condition management during constructionContribute to feasibility assessments and identify opportunities to enhance project outcomesSupport the broader development team across project delivery activitiesIn the role as Junior Planner / Assistant Development Manager, you will have opportunities to gain experience in and exposure to:Design competitions and design review processesSydney Planning Panel and Design Review Panel presentationsInteractions with government agencies and statutory authoritiesLand and strata subdivision processesConstruction Certificate (CC)



and Occupation Certificate (OC) approvalsPublic domain and subdivision works coordinationPlanning appeals and court‐related matters when requiredState Significant Development (SSD) projects (highly regarded)Work directly alongside experienced development and planning professionalsExposure to premium residential, mixed‐use, and commercial projectsBroad involvement across the full development lifecycleCareer development opportunities within a growing and respected organisationCollaborative, supportive, and forward‐thinking team cultureOpportunity to contribute to projects that shape communities and urban environmentsIn the role as Junior Planner / Assistant Development Manager, we require you to have the following skills and experience:A tertiary qualification in Urban Planning, Property Development, Architecture, Town Planning, or a related discipline1–3 years' experience within planning, development, consultancy, local government, or a related property environmentSound understanding of the NSW planning frameworkExperience using the NSW Planning PortalStrong written communication skills with the ability to prepare planning reports and supporting documentationExcellent stakeholder management and relationship‐building abilitiesStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesA proactive mindset and genuine interest in property development and planningIf you're looking to build a long‐term career in planning and development and want exposure to high‐quality projects within an established property group, we'd love to hear from you.
