We are seeking highly skilled Detailer Drafter to join our team.
As a Detailer Drafter you will convert rough design concepts from engineers and architects into exact technical plans, shop drawings, and 3D models.
Key duties include creating accurate measurements, checking industry codes, and updating drawing revisions.
We offer short-term contracts with above-award pay rates fully guaranteed under current workplace regulations.
The role includes but is not limited to:
Create and prepare precise fabrication, assembly, and shop drawings using software like AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM technology including specifications for materials required, detailed measurements and installation instructions for building contractors Determine the appropriate material for each task based on design plans,



and ensures that all designs meet relevant standards and regulations Perform calculations to estimate the quantity of materials, exact dimensions, and weight limits required for production teams to complete a project
Review rough sketches and collaborate with engineers to resolve structural or mechanical clashes Develop detailed 3D models to detect model clashes to mitigate construction delays and site rectification costs Collaborate with Architects, engineers and project managers to ensure the accurate translation of designs into construction plans
Ensure all final layouts match local building codes, safety rules, and project specifications To be considered for this role, you must have the following: Trade qualified
Strong working knowledge of CAD, BIM, or specialised detailing tools Ability to read complex blueprints, schematics, and engineering notes High accuracy in plotting dimensions to prevent costly manufacturing or construction errors
Strong spatial visualisation and the ability to spot design clashes before manufacturing or construction begins Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and project teams
Excellent reporting skills Self-motivated, organised, punctual and reliable Must have great work ethics
