As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Internal Technical Sales professional to join our team.
About the Role
This is a full-time, office-based position located in Balcatta, WA.
As an Internal Technical Sales professional, you will provide technical advice and sales support to customers through phone, email and in-person enquiries.
You will work closely with customers to understand their applications, select appropriate pumps and associated equipment, prepare quotations and coordinate orders through to completion.
This role is ideal for someone with pump industry experience who enjoys solving technical problems, supporting customers and contributing to business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to customer enquiries by phone, email and in person.
Provide technical advice on pumps, motors, controls and associated equipment.
Assess customer applications, operating conditions and performance requirements.
Recommend suitable pumping products and complete solutions.
Assist customers with pump selection, sizing and product compatibility.
Prepare accurate quotations, product specifications and supporting technical documentation.
Follow up quotations and assist in converting enquiries into confirmed orders.




Process sales orders accurately and ensure all technical and commercial requirements are captured.
Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, service technicians and internal departments regarding product availability and technical requirements.
Support customers with replacement pump selection and identification of suitable alternatives.
Maintain accurate customer, quotation and opportunity information within the CRM system.
Develop and maintain strong knowledge of the company's product ranges, supplier brands and technical capabilities.
Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
Identify opportunities for additional products, services and ongoing customer support.
Assist with continuous improvement of internal sales processes, product information and technical documentation.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Previous experience in internal sales, technical sales, estimating or customer support within the pump, mechanical, engineering, irrigation, water or industrial equipment sector.
Practical knowledge of pumps, motors, pressure systems, water transfer, drainage, dewatering or related equipment.
The ability to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
Robust communication skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly.




Experience preparing quotations and interpreting technical specifications.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate order processing.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
The ability to manage multiple enquiries, quotations and customer priorities.
Confidence using CRM, quoting, inventory and Microsoft Office systems.
A professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
The ability to work collaboratively with sales, operations, workshop and technical teams.
A trade qualification, engineering qualification or relevant industry certification would be highly regarded but is not essential.
Experience within pump distribution, pump servicing, water treatment, irrigation, plumbing, mining, industrial equipment or mechanical services will also be highly valued.
