About us
Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation
(AHAC) is a multi-disciplinary organisation which provides primary health care services to the Aboriginal people of Tennant Creek and the surrounding Barkly region, dedicated to 'Closing the Gap' in Aboriginal health within remote Australia.

consists of four different sections (Health Services, Corporate Services, Public Health Unit and Piliyintinji-Ki Stronger Families) which allow them to have a holistic approach to health ensuring that clients' physical and emotional health and wellbeing is given the utmost priority.

There is a supermarket similar to a large IGA store, Post Office, clothing and furniture stores, Pharmacy, Newsagent, bank facilities (ANZ), restaurants and coffee shops and four hotels/motels.
It also has sporting facilities (e.g., swimming pool, basketball courts, tennis court, football ground, car racing track), and several tourists attractions within easy reach Like our Beautiful Lake Mary Ann!
About this Role
Collaborating with and reporting to the Piliyintinji-ki Stronger Families (PSF) Executive Manager, you will guide and support the Men's Centre team to
coordinate the opening and functioning of the Men's Centre
.
You will
provide leadership
to the delivery of
culturally appropriate PSF programs and services
.
With the aim to
reduce the incidence
of a range of community difficulties, you will assist and
coordinate Men's Centre activities that promote community well-being
.
More specifically, duties include (but not limited to):
Assist in daily routines and activities to ensure programs are delivering appropriate outcomes
With counselling staff, help develop and facilitate group activities in mental health, AOD, and social and emotional well-being
Deliver programs that respond to physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, and cultural needs of families and individual clients
Provide clear direction, leadership and supervision of the Community Support Worker team
Develop and share culturally responsive links with community and family to support engagement and learning
Develop relationships with external service provider agencies, and support clients to access other support services (e.g. referrals, counselling, health support, NDIS, job networks, education programs).
Help support coordination of Family Violence plans
Recording case notes in SupportLink for all scheduled group activities and evaluation of feedback forms
Ensure client data and records are kept secure and confidential, and maintain client and staff attendance books, outreach records, and databases
Support and plan the training and development of your team, including through the transfer of skills and mentoring
Address any WHS hazards, incidents, accidents, nijuries and foster a qualified and culturally safe work environment
Keep secure and maintain property, vehicles and equipment
With collaboratively to ensure program services and activities are culturally appropriate
About You
To be successful in this role, you will

You will be able to
communicate in a culturally responsive manner
, understanding the
importance of traditional cultures
, values and protocols.
You must be able to
provide leadership
and support
to team members by
motivating staff
to develop and implement program activities.
You must be able to
work autonomously, maintain accountability, set and meet deadlines, collect and analyse data and write reports.
You should be familiar with Microsoft Office applications and be willing to travel and work in remote communities.
