Support Worker – South Grafton
We have an exciting opportunity for a reliable, flexible and easy-going Support Worker with a
"can do" attitude
to support a gentleman with a physical disability in his home based in
South Grafton
.

About You
You are a positive, honest and reliable person with a strong work ethic.
You follow instructions well and understand the importance of providing individualised support within a home workplace.
You are physically fit, healthy and confident with the manual handling tasks involved in supporting a person with a disability.
You have good time management skills and are flexible and easy-going, understanding that daily routines can sometimes change.
Most importantly, you are looking for long-term employment within a supportive and respectful environment.
About the Role
You will work closely with the member in their own home, providing support with:
Personal care




(no catheter or bowel care required)
Community access
(taking the member for a walk one day per week)
Manual handling
(ceiling hoist transfers, hi-lo bed, wheelchair and slide sheet)
Assisting with and administering medication
Oxygen / BiPAP support
Assistance with passive exercises
Support Shifts are flexible and available ***** hours per week across 7 days
An excellent casual hourly rate is on offer plus superannuation.
Penalty rates apply for weekend work in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award ****.
There is the possibility of days and hours increasing, as well as relief work on occasion for the right person.
Mandatory Criteria
Criminal Record Check (compulsory)
Current First Aid Certificate
Car and current Unrestricted Drivers License
Preferred requirements
Qualifications and/or experience in Aged Care and/or Disability Support
