About the role
Torque Tech Mechanical & Tyre is seeking an experienced
Operations Supervisor - Mechanical
to join our team in Tom Price, WA ****.
This is a residential position, includes company supplied housing
offering an excellent opportunity for a skilled supervisor to lead operations and drive excellence in our mechanical services division.
You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day mechanical operations, managing team performance, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards whilst maintaining safety and efficiency across our residential mechanical services.
FIFO / DIDO may be considered to the right applicant.
Key responsibilities
Supervise and manage the mechanical team, including scheduling, task allocation, and performance monitoring
Oversee all mechanical work on residential projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
Coordinate with clients and project managers to ensure timely completion of mechanical installations and repairs
Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and team hours
Conduct regular safety briefings and toolbox talks to promote a strong safety culture
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
Monitor inventory and equipment maintenance requirements
Report on operational metrics and team performance to senior management
Support the recruitment and training of new team members as required
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies
What we're looking for
Proven supervisory or team leadership experience in the automotive or mechanical trades industry
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures
Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive mechanical work (e.g., automotive technician certification)




Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Demonstrated commitment to health and safety practices and standards
Robust communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and support team members
Experience managing budgets, resources, and inventory in a mechanical workshop environment
Ability to work effectively in a FIFO arrangement with flexibility around roster requirements
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
