We provide person-centred, recovery-oriented supports to people living with disabilities, including psychosocial disabilities, autism, intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries and complex support needs.

About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and reliable
Disability Support Workers / Mental Health Support Workers
to join our team across our SIL homes in Nerang and Elanora.
As an
In-Home Support Worker
, you'll provide quality support to participants living in Supported Independent Living (SIL) while promoting independence, wellbeing and choice.
This role is suited to someone who has experience supporting people with
mental health conditions, psychosocial disabilities, autism, intellectual disabilities and complex behaviours
.
Shifts are available across mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, sleepovers and active nights.
Key Responsibilities
Provide person-centred support in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment.
Assist participants with personal care, showering, dressing and hygiene.
Support participants with daily living activities including cooking, cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
Assist participants to develop independent living skills including budgeting, shopping and household management.
Support community access including appointments, social activities, recreation and community participation.




Build positive therapeutic relationships using recovery-oriented and strengths-based approaches.
Support participants experiencing mental health challenges, psychosocial disabilities and complex support needs.
Follow Individual Support Plans, Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs) and Risk Management Plans.
Implement proactive behaviour support strategies while maintaining participant dignity and choice.
Administer medications in accordance with organisational policies and Safe Medication Management training.
Complete accurate shift notes, progress notes, incident reports and electronic documentation.
Monitor participant wellbeing and report changes in health, behaviour or support needs.
Work collaboratively with families, guardians, allied health professionals and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Promote participant rights, independence, inclusion and quality of life at all times.
Essential Requirements
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
Current Australian Driver Licence
Reliable, roadworthy and fully insured vehicle (where required)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Confidence using smartphones, tablets and digital record keeping systems
Highly Desirable
Previous experience working as a Disability Support Worker, Community Support Worker, Mental Health Support Worker or Support Worker in Supported Independent Living (SIL).
Experience supporting participants with
psychosocial disabilities, schizophrenia, autism,



intellectual disabilities or other complex support needs.
Experience implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs).
Experience supporting participants with behaviours of concern using positive and recovery-focused approaches.
Secure Medication Management Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
Infection Prevention and Control Training (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
Manual Handling Training (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
