About The Role
Our 13-bed Critical Care Unit supports approximately 1,250 admissions annually, delivering high-dependency, intensive care and specialised cardiac care services.
We are seeking experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses who have completed a Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in Critical Care Nursing to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team.
This is an exciting prospect to work in a supportive environment that values clinical excellence, professional development, evidence-based practice and high-quality patient outcomes.
Please note: This role requires a completed postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing.
Applicants who are currently studying, planning to commence, or do not hold this qualification are not eligible for consideration.
Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time Positions Available | $***** - $***** Per Hour + Salary Packaging
In This Role, You Will
Provide advanced critical care, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation, hemofiltration, and cardiac pacingCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver and evaluate evidence-based patient careRotate through 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts, including weekends and night shiftsLead and mentor in a supportive environment, upholding quality and safety standardsSupport professional growth through mandatory education, research, and development initiatives
Key Responsibilities
Planning, implementing and evaluating evidence-based nursing careDevelop professional practice in accordance with the health needs of the population and changing patterns of disease and illnessAct as a patient advocate and demonstrates a commitment to the patients "Charter of Healthcare Rights and "Charter of Residents' Rights and ResponsibilitiesSupport the Nurse Unit Manager and the team to review and evaluate best practice,
evidence based clinical careRole model a positive vision for change and supports change management at both local and organisational level
Skills And Experience
Applicants must meet all the following requirements:
Completed Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in Critical Care Nursing (essential and non-negotiable)Current registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA and a current practising certificateRecent clinical experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and/or Coronary Care Unit (CCU)Demonstrated advanced clinical assessment, reasoning, and decision-making skillsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skillsAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
