Salary ranges from $149,739 to $173,174 + super and leave loading
Our EnergyCo NSW Governance, Risk and Compliance branch are seeking to temporarily fill the Manager Risk role for a 6 month period up to November ****, with the possibility of extension.
At EnergyCo, the Risk Management function plays a critical role in supporting the organisation to deliver NSW's energy transition objectives within a complex and evolving operating environment.
The function is responsible for embedding effective enterprise-wide risk management practices that support informed decision-making, protect and create value, and enable the achievement of strategic objectives across major infrastructure delivery, operations and corporate functions.
Working closely with Executive Leadership and business areas, the team helps identify, assess and manage strategic, operational and reputational risks, while strengthening organisational resilience, governance, assurance and crisis management capability in a dynamic, high-profile and rapidly changing environment.
About the opportunity
The Manager Risk leads the planning, design, implementation and management of the risk management arrangements at EnergyCo.
The role provides a high level of professional guidance to all aspects of the scope of works of the organisation with regards to the identification, escalation and mitigation of risk, and drives an integrated approach to risk management, ensuring that risk management principles are embedded across the organisation and are compliant with relevant statutory requirements.




The Manager Risk This role is supported by a small team to deliver in a dynamic and often challenging environment and works collaboratively with the EnergyCo Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure effective and standardised project risk management practices.
About You
To be successful in the role, you will have:
Demonstrated experience in the identification, assessment and management of risk, including substantial experience in preparing and interpreting complex and sensitive reports and sound problem solving skills to make balanced and logical decisions.
Professional accreditation in risk management and project risk management experience.
Exceptional ability to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders.
High attention to detail and continued quality output.
Essential Requirements
Qualified qualifications in risk management or related discipline and experience working in a complex environment.

Who we are
The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo)
is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act **** and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy.
EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the
Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water

Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap
, which aims to transform the state's electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable.
As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act ****, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State's first five




Renewable Energy Zones (REZs)
and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions.
We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
