Looking for a job where you genuinely help kids and their families every day?
At Western Kids Health, reception is not "just admin".
You are the first hello, the calming presence in a busy moment, and the person who helps families feel safe, welcomed and supported from the second they walk in.
We are looking for a warm, organised, team-first Receptionist to join our Shenton Park and Hillarys clinics.
About Western Kids Health:
Western Kids Health is an award-winning, multidisciplinary paediatric allied health practice supporting babies, children and teens.
We work as one team (across multiple disciplines) so families feel held, not shuffled around.
If you love being part of a workplace where people back each other, take pride in doing the little things well, and care deeply about families, you will fit right in.
About the role:
This is a part time position based at our Shenton Park and Hillarys clinics.
You will play a pivotal role in our administration team, helping our clinic run smoothly each day while delivering consistently excellent customer service.
You'll be supported by a friendly team and transparent systems, and you'll have variety in your day (no two days look the same in paediatrics).
Responsibilities of the role include:
• Managing the client arrival list and greeting families warmly
• Supporting smooth client flow throughout the day (calm, organised, kind)
• Keeping client information accurate and up to date
• Booking appointments and helping families find times that work
• Managing incoming calls and enquiries with warmth and professionalism
• Processing payments, issuing receipts, and explaining billing policies clearly
• General administration (scanning, uploading, filing, email support, photocopying)
• Helping keep reception running like a well-oiled machine (while staying child-friendly!)
The successful candidates will have:
A Qualification in Medical Reception (desirable)
Proficiency in cloud-based practice management software (e.g Cliniko) and word processing programs such as Microsoft Office
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate warmly with a diverse range of people
Proven ability to provide a high standard of reception and administrative support
Healthcare or medical reception experience preferred but not required
The ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
Highly developed organisational skills including the ability to manage and coordinate a range of tasks and competing priorities, and to meet deadlines with limited supervision
Western Kids Health offers:
• A supportive, inclusive, team-first culture
• A fun, engaging workplace where people genuinely enjoy coming to work
• Purpose-led work that makes a difference to kids and families
• Competitive hourly rate
Please note that all employees are required to hold a Working with Children Check (WA) and a Police Certificate prior to commencement.
To apply for this role please click the 'Apply Now' button and upload your cv and cover letter.
