As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and proactive HSE Coordinator to support and drive health, safety, and environmental performance across our manufacturing operations.This is a hands-on operational role that will work closely with management and site teams to promote a strong safety culture, ensure compliance, and continuously improve HSE performance across the business.About the RoleReporting to the Operations Manager, the HSE Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance across our Buchanan manufacturing facility.You will work closely with supervisors, operational teams, contractors, and management to ensure safe work practices are maintained, risks are effectively managed, and compliance obligations are achieved.
The role will also support the ongoing development and implementation of HSE systems, procedures, audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives and will also work closely with the Group HSE Manager and other facilities safety personnelThis position requires a practical and visible leader who enjoys engaging with operational teams and driving positive safety outcomes on the ground.Key ResponsibilitiesPromote and support a positive safety culture across all operational areasConduct workplace inspections, audits, safety observations, and risk assessmentsCoordinate incident investigations, hazard reporting, and corrective actionsMaintain HSE documentation, records, registers, and compliance systemsSupport compliance with WHS legislation, environmental requirements, and company proceduresCoordinate employee, contractor, and visitor inductionsDeliver toolbox talks, safety communications,



and awareness initiativesMonitor environmental controls including waste management, dust, noise, and site housekeepingAssist with internal and external audits and Integrated Management System (IMS) requirementsWork closely with supervisors and operational teams to identify and manage risksSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, compliance, and environmental performanceAbout YouYou are passionate about workplace safety and enjoy working closely with operational teams to create safer and more efficient workplaces.
You are proactive, practical, and capable of building strong working relationships across all levels of the business.You have excellent communication skills, a solid understanding of HSE compliance requirements, and the ability to influence positive behavioural change in a manufacturing environment.Skills & ExperienceExperience in an HSE, WHS, Safety, or Environmental role within manufacturing, construction, industrial, or high-risk environmentsStrong knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety legislation and compliance requirementsExperience conducting audits, inspections, incident investigations, and risk assessmentsStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to influence and coach operational teams on safe work practicesExperience supporting ISO systems and Integrated Management Systems (IMS) highly regardedExperience working within manufacturing, precast, construction, or industrial operations advantageousQualificationsCertificate IV in Work Health & Safety or higher qualificationConstruction White CardFirst Aid and CPR certificationEnvironmental management training or qualifications advantageousISO ***** and/or ISO ***** exposure or training highly regardedWhy Join Evolution Precast?
