Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 per year (depending on experience)
Work Location: In Person
Work Authorisation: Australian citizens and permanent residents preferred (visa sponsorship available for suitable candidates)
Job Description We are seeking a qualified and experienced Indian Chef to join our catering team.
The successful applicant must have a minimum of two years' experience preparing authentic Indian cuisine in a commercial kitchen, with experience in high-volume catering or function service preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook authentic Indian cuisine for weddings, corporate events, private functions, and outdoor catering.
Prepare ingredients, sauces, marinades, and other food items to ensure efficient service.
Assist with menu planning and the preparation of catering menus.
Ensure food quality, consistency,



and presentation meet company standards.
Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
Train and supervise cooks and kitchen staff where required.
Assist with stock control, food preparation planning, and minimising food wastage.
Work collaboratively with the catering team to ensure the timely preparation and delivery of food for events.
Requirements
Minimum two years' experience as an Indian Chef.
Strong knowledge of authentic Indian cuisine and cooking techniques.
Experience preparing food for catering events or function centres is highly desirable.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
