The role: Transport Scheduler and AdministrationThe role actively engages with Customers, Drivers and the broader branch sales and operations team to facilitate the scheduling of deliveries in the most cost effective and efficient manner in line with Customer requirements, undertaking various takes including, but not limited to, scheduling management, route planning, and logistics coordination.
Working closely with the transport team, drivers, and external partners, to optimises routes, allocates resources, and maintains meticulous records and by monitoring schedules, resolving logistical challenges, and proactively communicating with Customers, this role plays a pivotal part in the achievement of a Customer experience that aligns with Lyndon's core value and standard of service.Safety for our people is paramount: we live by our 'Safety First, Always!' value-driven culture.

We believe in "One Team, One Way, One LYNDONS."This position will be based at our Salisbury Branch.Responsibilities include:OperationsReview Customer deliveries and details to plan and coordinate Customer deliveries to achieve a Delivered On Time and In Full outcomeSchedule and optimise daily and weekly delivery routes to ensure most cost-effective outcomes are achievedCommunicate delivery requirements and timeframes with customers ensuring they are updated on any changes to their requirements.Ensure all paperwork and documents are properly recorded in the relevant systems and filed, including records for vehicles, schedules and completed orders.Report maintenance and repair needs for transport vehicles and equipment to transport supervisor.Report any issues or complaints, once known.




Escalate to higher management if not resolved in a suitable timeframe.Ensure all company policies and procedures are met and adhered to, including all legislative and government compliance requirements.Assist with Processing of Sales orders to invoices, once goods are despatched.Assist with the receipting of good Inwards into inventory systemAssist with processing of stock transfers.Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports as and when directed by the supervisor or managerUndertake any additional administrative duties as directed by the supervisor or managerTake responsibilities on behalf of the organisation, but must also comply with requirements as workers, including:Ensure a safe working environment exists for team members and customersEnsure adherence to WHS policies and proceduresMaintain relevant knowledge of WHS issuesAct as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviourTo be considered for this role you will need:Ideally you will have:Solid knowledge of supply chain managementExperience preparing and tracking ordersFamiliarity with logistics softwareExcellent organisational skillsProblem-solving abilitiesWhy Join Lyndons?
