project management and delivery activities that support the government's War on Wrecks priorityPerform activities such as monitoring safety of vessels and assisting and leading aspects of the investigation processParticipate in marine education and behavioural change initiatives designed to reinforce safety and environmentally sound practices, such as presentations to boating groups and providing advice at boat showsAssist in the development and delivery of educational programs and initiativesIdentify the requirement for and use relevant resources to issue notices to mariners to ensure that local boat users are aware of hazardsProvide field and administrative support in handling hazards to navigationMaintain or audit all aspects of the regional aids to navigation program including acquisition, placement, maintenance and removal to ensure that the infrastructure is sound and fit for purposeParticipate and interact with people in other areas of MSQ and external agencies to deliver agreed outcomesActively participate in performance appraisal processes and development opportunities and provide support to other staffApplications to remain current for 12 months.
