This role presents a fantastic opportunity to progress your career within a team that is renowned for its collaborative culture, passion for client service and professional development opportunities.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of workplace matters including:Advising clients on management of ill and injured workers;Providing critical incident response services to clients;Defending prosecutions under the safety legislation (nationally);Advising on and representing clients in a variety of employment related claims, including claims for unfair dismissal, adverse action, discrimination, sexual harassment, breach of contract and underpayment of wagesDealing with industrial relations issues,



Right of Entry disputesAdvising on WHS and managing with incidentsUndertaking workplace investigations for clients; andDelivering training to clients on Employment and safety related topics.Skills and ExperienceTo be successful in this role you will have:A Bachelor of Laws or equivalent and a current Queensland practising certificateMinimum 1 years' post admission ideally with exposure to Work Health and Safety matters, and/or Employment, Workers' Compensation, or general litigationExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling a practical and commercial approach to be takenConfidence to deal with clients and work collaboratively with other practice groupsHigh degree of initiative, dedication and organisational ability with a robust client and commercial focusAbility to manage a busy workload and work to tight deadlinesAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionWhat We OfferIn return, McCabes will provide you with the opportunity to work with a talented team in a flexible, inclusive, and innovative environment.
