We're building a culture - one that's Safe, Courageous, Trusting, and Cooperative.About the RoleWe are a Reliability Fitter to join Ballarat's lean, high-performing team responsible for commissioning and maintaining some of the most advanced milling technology in the country.
This is a hands-on, digitally focused role that blends electrical and mechanical expertise with a passion for automation, optimisation, and continuous learning.
You'll work closely with the builder during installation, gaining deep insight into the control systems and infrastructure.
From wiring and sensors to PLCs and data-driven diagnostics, you'll be at the heart of how the site runs and improves over time.
You'll be responsible for:Supporting the commissioning of electrical and control systems, including PLCs, SCADA,
and industrial sensorsPerforming preventative and corrective maintenance across electrical and mechanical systemsDiagnosing faults, chasing data, and using control systems to drive performanceCollaborating with contractors and suppliers to manage outsourced workContributing to system optimisation, automation upgrades, and continuous improvement initiativesParticipating in call-back and weekend coverage as part of a lean, agile teamAbout youWe're looking for someone who thrives in transformation and large-scale change.
Dual trade candidates will be preferred, although applicants with a strong mechanical background and a willingness to work in a digitally advanced environment will be considered.
The suitable candidate will possess:A dual-trade background or strong mechanical understanding alongside electrical qualificationsA restricted electrical licence is preferred for non-dual trade applicantsExperience with industrial control systems, PLCs, and automation in a manufacturing environmentA proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for learning and digital systemsStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and with external partnersWhat's on offer at Mauri?
