Six Degrees Executive has been retained by an established Australian manufacturer in the industrial, infrastructure and construction markets to recruit a National Technical & Commercial Manager.
This role leads technical strategy, product innovation and customer solution development during a phase of business growth and transformation.This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded technical leader who has successfully taken products from concept through to commercialisation and can demonstrate tangible market success.
Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in identifying market opportunities, developing creative product solutions and strengthening strategic customer relationships across Australia.About the Opportunity:This is not a traditional laboratory-based R&D; role, nor is it purely technical support.The successful candidate will own the innovation agenda, identifying gaps in the market, developing commercially viable solutions and working closely with customers to understand application challenges and translate them into product opportunities.You will be the technical face of the business for key customers, major projects and strategic accounts while collaborating internally across sales, production, quality and operations to deliver sustainable growth.Key Responsibilities:Lead the technical and innovation strategy across industrial, infrastructure and construction marketsIdentify market opportunities and develop new products from ideation through to commercialisationEngage directly with key customers, distributors, contractors,



engineers and asset owners to understand market needs and application requirementsProvide senior technical leadership and guidance across a broad range of specialised industrial productsSupport major projects, specification opportunities and strategic account growth initiativesLead technical investigations, product performance reviews and continuous improvement initiativesDeliver technical training, mentoring and capability development across internal and external stakeholdersContribute to business planning, market analysis and long-term growth strategiesAbout You:Demonstrated success in product development and innovation within adhesives, resins, coatings, polymers, construction chemicals or specialty chemicalsProven experience taking products from concept through development and commercial launchStrong formulation knowledge within chemical and industrial based products and the ability to work effectively with laboratory and technical teamsExperience identifying market gaps and translating customer requirements into commercially successful solutionsA strong understanding of infrastructure, construction materials, industrial manufacturing or related sectorsExperience working with specification-driven products and project-based sales environmentsExcellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skillsThe ability to operate effectively in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environmentRelevant qualifications in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Civil Engineering or related disciplines will be highly regarded.Six Degrees Executive acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work and live.
