As a Graphic Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of globally recognised brands and helping our clients make a lasting impression in the market.The RoleIn this role, our graphic designer is responsible for creating visually appealing and creative designs for various packaging formats, managing the Roland printer, and collaborating closely with clients and suppliers to ensure high, quality deliverables.Key responsibilities and tasks in this role include:Conceptualize and execute customized packaging designs across various formats for diverse clientele and internal projects.Generate custom dielines and templates for accurate packaging production.Operate and oversee the Roland printer to ensure optimal print quality and efficiency.Prepare print-ready artwork for press and production, adhering to industry standards and specifications.Collaboration with suppliers, facilitating artwork proofing and necessary approvals.Creative development of Logos and BrandingDevelop digital artwork suitable for various applications, including websites, social media platforms,



and EDMs/newslettersDesign across a variety of other channels including marketing collateral, promotional material, internal and external communications.Content Creation: produce engaging and compelling video & photo content including filming, editing and post-production tasks.SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTESA tertiary qualification in Design and/or relevant industry experienceHigh level of proficiency in layout, scale and typographyStrong understanding of design principles, print production processes, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environmentImpeccable attention to detail with responsibility for ensuring your work is without errors – have a keen eye and are comfortable to proof-check what you designPrecision in artwork set-up and file-saving in correct formats for print and digital projectsMaintaining consistency of brand identityConfident communicator, both written and verbal, who can contribute ideas as well as take directionSelf-motivated to work autonomously and manage time efficientlyDemonstrated experience through portfolio of relevant workUnderstanding and interest in trends in Design and Packaging, as well as popular cultureDESIRABLE,



BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:Product photography experienceExperience with Content Creation, Photography, social mediaExperience with EDM'sExperience with FMCG, Retail, E-tail, Skincare and/or BeautyUnderstanding of digital design for websites (basic coding/HTML/CSS/Shopify) and social mediaMotion Graphics or Animation experience (Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro)Copywriting skills will be looked upon favourably – we'd love to see some clever and witty words from you.SOFTWAREAdobe Creative Suite – strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills are a must!
