You'll analyse design documentation, engage with subcontractors, and assess all cost-related elements throughout the enquiry, tender, and construction phases.
Your attention to detail and industry expertise will help deliver cost-effective solutions that reflect Vaughan's high standards in construction.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare +/-5% budget estimates from client design briefs,



measuring by trade in BuildsoftReview tender documentation and manage subcontractor invitations, engagement, and pricing (including EstimateOne)Produce accurate BOQs, trade comparisons, and Cost SummariesComplete Project Preliminaries and review programme/resourcing with the CMAssess contract and construction risks, advising Marketing on impactsDevelop clarification and exclusions lists for Client SubmissionsAttend design meetings to ensure contract alignment with BOQ allowancesComplete Contract Checks and flag scope changes to BDM/GMSupport PMs with subcontract negotiations and variationsMaintain BOQ and budget accuracy throughoutSkills and ExperienceTertiary qualifications in Construction, Estimating or equivalent and/or proven experience in a similar role within the commercial/industrial construction industry.We will consider applicants who are degree qualified in quality surveying and want to take that next step into estimating.Estimator with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to confidently liaise with subcontractors and suppliers.Familiar with inhouse estimating software such as Buildsoft Cubit are highly desirable for the role.Join a growth-focused, values-driven business where your expertise makes a real impact.
