About the roleWe are seeking experienced Electrican's to join the operations and maintenance team at the Mount Carlton Gold Operation as the site transitions through refurbishment, ramp‐up and into steady‐state operations.This is a hands‐on role for a tradesperson who takes pride in running plant safely, maintaining stable process conditions and working as part of a tight, site‐based team.
You will be actively involved in day‐to‐day plant maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting and continuous improvement across the processing circuit.This role will be offered on a Max Term Full Time Contractand will see you work a 7/7 Roster Days/Nights.
This role will be DIDO/BIBO from the Townsville Region.
Accommodation and Meals are supplied whilst on site.Duties will include but not be limited to:-Perform planned, preventative and breakdown electrical maintenance on fixed plant equipment within the gold processing facilityMaintain and repair electrical systems, motors, switchboards, instrumentation and control equipment across the processing plantDiagnose and rectify electrical faults to minimise plant downtime and ensure reliable plant performanceConduct routine inspections and testing of electrical equipment in accordance with maintenance schedules and statutory requirementsSupport plant operations by ensuring electrical systems are operating safely and efficientlyAssist with shutdown maintenance activities, including equipment upgrades, installations and plant improvementsMaintain accurate maintenance records,



reports and work orders within the site maintenance management systemWork closely with the operations team to optimise plant availability and performanceEnsure all work is completed in accordance with site safety standards, electrical regulations and company proceduresMaintain a high standard of housekeeping across electrical work areas and the processing plantTo be successful in this role, you will have:-Trade qualification as an Electrician with a current Electrical LicenceProven experience working within a gold processing plant, mineral processing facility or heavy industrial environmentExperience maintaining fixed plant electrical systems including motors, MCCs, switchboards, VSDs and instrumentationCurrent Mining, Minerals and Quarries Medical – desirableStrong safety mindset with a commitment to following procedures and site standards.Right to Work in Australia – EssentialPlease note, that as apart of our recruitment process you will be required to complete a police clearance, Functional Capacity Evaluation and drug and alcohol screen.We value diversity and the advantages it brings to achieving our objectives, enhancing our reputation, and attracting, engaging, and retaining talented people.
