$*****/hr + Overtime Penalties | 50 Hours per Week | Immediate StartLead from the Front on a Major Regional Infrastructure ProjectWe are seeking an experienced Civil Leading Hand to join a major water infrastructure project near Wanganella, NSW.This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work alongside the crew, coordinating daily construction activities while operating plant and supporting civil works as required.
If you're someone who enjoys leading by example and isn't afraid to jump on the tools or into the excavator, we'd like to hear from you.About the RoleReporting to the Site Supervisor, you'll be responsible for coordinating a small crew while assisting with the protected and efficient delivery of civil construction activities.Your duties will include:Leading and mentoring a small civil construction crewPlanning daily work activities in conjunction with site supervisionOperating excavators for trenching, drainage, bulk earthworks and final trimPerforming dogging duties to support lifting operationsCoordinating plant, personnel and subcontractorsAssisting with pipe laying, drainage and underground service installationReading construction drawings and working to project specificationsConducting daily pre-starts and promoting a strong safety cultureSpotting underground services and heavy mobile plantAssisting with concrete, formwork and general civil construction activitiesMaintaining quality workmanship and project productivityWhat We're Looking ForTo be successful,



you will ideally possess:Demonstrated experience as a Civil Leading Hand or Senior Civil OperatorCurrent Excavator Ticket / VOCCurrent Dogman (DG) High Risk Work LicenceConstruction White CardCurrent Driver LicenceProven experience on civil infrastructure projectsStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to read construction drawings and work independentlyCommitment to workplace safety and quality outcomesHighly RegardedThe following licences and experience will be highly regarded:Loader TicketSkid Steer TicketArticulated Dump Truck (ADT/Moxy)HR or HC Truck LicenceBasic or Intermediate RiggingWorking at HeightsConfined SpaceTraffic ControlFirst Aid CertificateExperience on water infrastructure, pipeline or major civil construction projectsWhat's on Offer?
