The successful applicant will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Constructing, installing and repairing structures and fixtures made from timber, plywood and
other building materials.
Reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings, blueprints and specifications.
Measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling timber and other materials using hand and
power tools.
Constructing wall frames, roof frames, flooring systems, staircases, doors, windows and
other structural components.
Installing cladding, partitions, cabinetry, skirting boards, architraves and finishing carpentry.
Erecting and dismantling formwork and temporary structures as required.
Inspecting completed work to ensure compliance with Australian Building Codes,
specifications and quality standards.
Maintaining a safe work environment by complying with workplace health and safety
policies and procedures.




Coordinating with supervisors, site managers and other trades to ensure timely completion
of projects.
Identifying and reporting defects, hazards and maintenance requirements on construction
sites.
Applicants must have:
Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent Australian-recognised qualification).
A minimum of two (2) years of relevant full time post-qualification work experience as a
Sound knowledge of Australian building methods, construction materials and workplace safety requirements.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
