Graduate Marketing & Public Engagement Coordinator
Bluerydge is an Australian-owned cyber security and technology consultancy delivering specialist services across Government, Defence and critical infrastructure environments.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an energetic and creative person to help build the public profile of Bluerydge and the wider group of companies.
This is an entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate, final-year student or early-career professional who enjoys social media, writing, photography, people and turning everyday business activity into engaging stories.
The Opportunity
This is a broad, hands-on marketing and public engagement role rather than a narrow social media position.
You will help keep our companies visible, active and connected by creating regular content, supporting campaigns, attending events, engaging with people and identifying new opportunities to promote our work, our people and our culture.
Some days you may be writing a LinkedIn post or staff profile.
On others, you may be taking photos at an event, developing a recruitment campaign, preparing a digital advertisement, updating a website, gathering a testimonial or joining a Director to represent the company at an industry function.
The role is designed for someone who wants varied experience and the freedom to grow into marketing, public relations, communications, employer branding or broader public engagement.
Content, social media and storytelling
Plan, create and publish regular content across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, websites, newsletters and other relevant digital channels.
Turn business activities, project milestones, staff achievements, community involvement and company news into clear, engaging and human-centred content.
Write social media posts, news updates, articles, staff profiles, case studies, website copy, newsletters, advertisements and other promotional material.
Take high-quality photos and short-form videos of staff, workplaces, events, projects and company initiatives, then edit them for publication.
Create simple branded graphics, campaign assets, short videos and other digital content using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or similar platforms.
Help give each business a consistent, recognisable and authentic public voice while adapting content for different brands and audiences.
Marketing, advertising and business growth
Support marketing campaigns that build brand awareness, generate enquiries and help the group reach new customers, partners and communities.
Create, launch and review paid digital advertising campaigns, including campaigns designed to support sales, recruitment and event promotion.
Work with business leaders to identify services, success stories and opportunities that can be promoted through digital channels.

Support recruitment marketing and employer-brand campaigns that attract strong candidates and communicate what it is like to work across the group.
Help gather and publish testimonials, reviews, project outcomes and other credible proof points that strengthen the reputation of the companies.
Maintain and improve company profiles, website content, digital directories, campaign landing pages and other outward-facing marketing material.
Public engagement and events
Attend industry events, conferences, community activities, recruitment events and company functions with members of the leadership team.
Confidently speak with attendees, candidates, partners and other stakeholders about the company and help create a welcoming, professional presence.
Capture event content in real time and prepare follow-up posts, photos, videos and summaries that extend the value of each event.
Help coordinate promotional materials, event communications, displays, registrations and other engagement activities as required.
Monitor comments, messages and public interactions across digital channels and ensure enquiries are acknowledged or directed to the right person.
Planning, coordination and improvement
Maintain practical content calendars and ensure each company has a regular and purposeful outward-facing presence.
Coordinate approvals and work with Directors, staff and internal stakeholders to gather information, identify stories and keep content moving.
Track campaign and social media performance, review what is working and recommend improvements based on engagement, reach, enquiries and recruitment outcomes.
Maintain organised libraries of approved photos, videos, templates, brand assets and reusable content.
Keep up with relevant platform changes, content trends and practical marketing tools that can improve quality, speed and audience engagement.
What You'll Bring
A completed or near-completed university degree in any discipline.
We care more about your attitude, communication skills and potential than the title of your degree.
A genuine interest in social media, marketing, public relations, content creation, public engagement or building the profile of organisations.
Strong written English and the ability to turn information into clear, compelling and audience-appropriate content.
Confidence speaking with people and a willingness to represent the company professionally at events and external activities.
A practical, proactive approach: you notice opportunities,

follow up on ideas and are comfortable taking responsibility for getting content published.
Good judgement, attention to detail and the ability to work with information that may require care, discretion or approval before publication.
Basic capability with social media platforms and a willingness to learn photography, video, graphic design, digital advertising and analytics tools.
Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple brands, tasks and deadlines without losing consistency or quality.
Highly Regarded — but not required
Experience gained through university, volunteering, a personal project, an internship, freelance work, a club, a small business or an organisational social media account.
Photography, videography, editing, graphic design, copywriting or website-content experience.
Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, CapCut or similar tools.
Exposure to paid social media advertising, campaign reporting, search advertising, email marketing, SEO or website content management.
An interest in technology, cyber security, Defence, Government, professional services or Australian industry.
A current driver licence and willingness to travel locally for events and content capture.
What Success Looks Like
Our companies publish useful, professional and engaging content consistently rather than only when someone remembers to post.
Our people, culture, work and community involvement are presented in a more authentic and human way.
Marketing and recruitment campaigns are planned, delivered and improved using clear performance information.
Events and business activities are converted into ongoing content and engagement opportunities.
The group becomes more visible to prospective customers, partners, candidates and the broader community.
Why Join Bluerydge?
Start or accelerate your career in a role with genuine variety, ownership and visibility.
Work directly with business leaders and contribute ideas that can quickly become real campaigns and content.
Build a broad professional portfolio across social media, writing, photography, video, digital advertising, events and public engagement.
Gain experience across multiple companies, brands, audiences and business objectives rather than being limited to one narrow marketing function.
Receive practical guidance while being trusted to experiment, improve and develop your own style.
Join a growing Australian-owned business with opportunities for the role to expand as your capability develops.
Examples of your work are welcomed but do not need to be formal.
You may include social media content, writing, photography, video, design, a university project, volunteer work, a personal account or anything else that demonstrates your creativity and communication skills.
