The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.About the DivisionThe Curriculum and Teaching Practice Division (CTPD) is responsible for developing and supporting schools to implement the department's teaching and learning policies and providing curriculum implementation guidance to Victorian government schools.
CTPD draws on contemporary research and practice evidence to develop evidence-based teaching and learning policy reforms, co-design and implement initiatives to support schools to deliver high-quality teaching programs.
CTPD has primary responsibility for providing advice and implementation support to government schools to deliver the Victorian Curriculum.Teaching and LearningResourcesCurriculum and Professional PracticeLiteracy and LanguagesMathematics, Science and Digital LearningAcross these branches, the key functions include:developing and communicating policies and guidance in areas such as curriculum planning, pedagogy, assessment and reporting, curriculum implementation (including languages education, Holocaust education, literacy instruction, mathematics and numeracy education), and artificial intelligencedeveloping lesson plans and other classroom teaching and learning resources to support the implementation of departmental pedagogical settings and F-10 curriculumdesigning and delivering high-quality professional learning to build teachers' professional expertise in key pedagogical and curriculum areasdeveloping and managing the Arc Platform and implementing high-quality teaching and learning softwarefostering student, family and community engagement through programs like the Premiers' Reading Challenge, Books in Prep Bags, and community language schoolAbout the RoleAn exciting prospect exists for a Manager, Arc Platform Unit to join the Mathematics, Science and Digital Learning Branch within the Department of Education on a full-time, fixed-term basis until 30 June ****, with the successful applicant commencing in January ****.About ArcArc (home) is at the beginning of a planned 3-year transition from the current legacy .

The focus in ******* is on discovery, planning and requirements development, while ensuring the existing platform remains fit-for-purpose and continues to support departmental goals and priorities.
Investment in ******* will improve the current platform while progressively reducing operational dependency on developers.
