Posting Date: **********Time Type: Full-TimeJob ID: ****Locations: Sydney, AustraliaGensler's Critical Facilities team is looking for a Project Architect to join our team.What You Will DoAn integral part of the design team that leads towards a cohesive and rational design solution which conforms to the project brief and is technically, legally and financially responsible.Manage communication and lead coordination between project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultantsResolve complex technical and design issues with team to produce innovative, technical, constructible solutionsDirect production of drawings, specifications and construction administration tasksResponsible for delivery of documents with design intent and top‐notch technical qualityProcess submittals/substitution requests during construction and address RFIsInterface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the projectBased on a very good understanding of local and national codes, be able to guide the team to design in alignment with the requirements.Mentoring and coaching junior team membersActively participate and contribute to the financial performance of projectReview and contribute to proposals and contracts with the Design ManagerEstablish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships through successful project deliveryParticipation in business development effortContribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.The Firm may vary these duties and responsibilities as necessary to meet its business requirements.Your QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture,



or equivalentMinimum 5 years of related project experience, especially in data centers or other critical facilities projects.Effective communicator, collaborative, and team conscious.Ability to handle difficult situations with tact, grace, and emotional intelligence.Excellent analytical and problem‐solving skills.Strong proficiency with Revit experience desired, BIM360 Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) Microsoft Office experience desired.
Sketchup, Rhino, Enscape, VRay are also beneficial.Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and parametric design software, including Grasshopper, a plusKnowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building codes specific to core and shell architecture is required.Extensive experience in construction document preparation, including detailing and field observation.Essential knowledge of applicable engineering disciplines.Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices requiredLife at GenslerAs a people-first organization,
