About the Role
Reporting to the Program Manager and based in Homebush, this is a fantastic prospect to play a key role in a large-scale digital transformation, supporting the implementation of a new HR and Payroll system across Australia and New Zealand.
You will be responsible for ensuring payroll calculations, system configurations, and processes are accurately tested and validated prior to go-live.
Initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements.
You will;
Execute payroll test scenarios and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Conduct parallel payroll runs by comparing legacy system pay outcomes with Dayforce results
Identify and log defects and issues in Jira
Validate employee and payroll data during migration activities
Ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation, including PAYG, Superannuation, and STP
Review Dayforce award interpretations and Workforce Management (WFM) configurations
Investigate discrepancies and collaborate with Payroll, HR, IT, vendors, and implementation teams to resolve issues
Prepare test reports and communicate testing outcomes to stakeholders
Assist with user guide development, training, and knowledge transfer to payroll teams




About you
You are an experienced Payroll Testing Analyst or Payroll SME with hands‐on experience supporting Dayforce implementations and running payroll parallel testing.
With a strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, award interpretation, and payroll processes, you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for identifying and resolving system and data issues.
You will have;
Experience working with complex systems and platforms
Strong testing management skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, manage vendors, and oversee testing and quality outcomes against agreed KPIs and deliverables
The ability to remain hands‐on when required while driving testing activities to successful completion
Robust experience preparing and communicating test summary reports and project status updates
Proficiency in Jira and Confluence
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment
