This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on diverse projects in a dynamic, fast-paced workplace.
You will be supporting our boilermaking and welding operations, contributing to the fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of various items of equipment and structural steelwork.
This role is integral to maintaining our high standards of quality and safety across all projects.Key responsibilitiesAssisting with the fabrication, assembly, and welding of boilers, pressure vessels, and structural componentsPreparing materials and work areas in accordance with project specifications and safety requirementsOperating and maintaining welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in optimal working conditionFollowing technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to produce components to precise specificationsPerforming quality checks and inspections to ensure work meets company standards and regulatory requirementsSupporting experienced boilermakers in fitting, assembling,



and testing of completed vessels and structuresMaintaining a safe and tidy work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and company proceduresContributing to problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives within the workshopWhat we're looking forTrade qualifications or relevant experience in boilermaking, welding, or related tradesDemonstrated proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick weldingSound understanding of technical drawings and the ability to work to precise specificationsExperience with hand and power tools relevant to fabrication and assembly workStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipExcellent health and safety awareness with a proactive approach to workplace safetyAbility to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from senior tradespeoplePhysical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in a workshop environmentValid driver's licence (desirable)Willingness to undertake ongoing training and professional developmentWhat we offerFabtech Maintenance is committed to supporting the wellbeing and development of our employees.
