YMCA Redlands Community Centre are recruiting committed Land Care Assistant on a Full-Time Fixed Term basis to join our team located in Victoria PointAbout the roleAs a Land Care Assistant is focused on providing conservation and land care services to the YMCA and key community stakeholders of the YMCA.
This includes caring for, nurturing and maintaining landscapes within the community and understanding the local flora and fauna, and methods to conserve and protect the local environment.What will my time look like?
Select and use relevant personal protective equipment appropriate for various land care task typesMaintaining hedges, lawns, gardens and natural environments through weeding, hedging, mowing, watering and other basic conservation and horticultural activitiesUndertake employability training such as mentoring, coaching, and industry site visitsReporting on conservation and program progress which may include basic report writing, photograph collation and printingBasic gardening, planning, design, construction and/or repair as requiredPrepare and process debris and waste materialsAm I a good match?
