you'll deliver timely underwriting decisions while maintaining strong portfolio performance and customer outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderwrite rural risks within delegated authorityAssess and analyse new business, renewals and referralsStructure competitive underwriting solutionsDeliver timely and solutions-focused service to customers and intermediariesBalance risk selection, pricing and portfolio performanceMaintain accurate underwriting documentationSupport portfolio growth and renewal retentionContribute market insights to product and process improvementsBuild relationships across the rural insurance market, including occasional regional travelAbout YouYou'll bring:3-5 years' underwriting experienceExposure to rural, agricultural, SME, commercial or personal lines insuranceStrong risk assessment and decision-making capabilityExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsA practical, customer-focused approachThe ability to thrive in a quick-paced and evolving environmentAgricultural or rural insurance experience is highly regarded, however we would also welcome applications from robust SME or personal lines underwriters looking to expand their expertise into a specialist area.
