We are working exclusively with Pace Live, an international live entertainment company, to find an Assistant Producer who is wired for complexity, comfortable with chaos, and genuinely good at making sure the show goes on.
The role
As Assistant Producer, you own the show's journey through our markets: venue bookings and routing strategy through to ticketing infrastructure, talent scheduling, and the thousand details that keep a production moving.
You are the connective tissue between production, business and the road.
One morning you are deep in venue negotiations for a Queensland run.
That afternoon you are sorting cast uniforms and coordinating an opening night.
No two days look the same, and that is not a warning, it is the job.
The role is Gold Coast based and, in the office, because the work moves too fast and depends too much on the people around you to run it from a distance.
There is also opportunity to travel and visit our on-road teams, depending on tour schedule and need.
What you'll actually be doing
Venue bookings and negotiations across multiple territories
Routing strategy: working out how the show moves market to market in a way that is logistically smart and financially sound
Setting up ticketing infrastructure for each location and managing it through to settlement
Managing talent availability and scheduling so the cast is where they need to be
Liaising between the creative team and venues on technical requirements and what each space can accommodate
Picking up the urgent, unexpected stuff: cast uniforms, opening nights, vendor issues, whatever needs doing
Keeping the co-founders across what is moving, what is stuck, and what needs a decision
What we actually need
You can hold a lot of moving parts at once without dropping any of them




You are comfortable with deadlines that do not move, because the show opens whether you are ready or not
You communicate fast and clearly, and you raise problems early rather than hoping they resolve themselves
You can shift between a strategic routing decision and an immediate tactical problem without losing momentum
You have grit, speed, and no need for hand-holding
You have run complex projects to a hard deadline somewhere before, whether that is live events, touring, festivals, theatre, agency production or something else entirely
What helps, but is not a dealbreaker
If you have not done this exact job before, that is fine.
We would rather find the right person and teach them our world than hold out for someone who already knows it.
Live entertainment, touring or multi-venue festival experience
Ticketing systems, venue negotiations and settlement processes
An understanding of how different markets work, including different business models and industry structures
International or multi-territory experience

You would be joining while some of that is still being built, which means you get real influence over how this role works rather than inheriting someone else's version of it.
